Alyesha is currently a teaching artist for Street Poets, Inc. - a non-profit mostly serving juvenile injustice-involved youth. She spends much of her time as a teaching artist and mentor and is currently the co-founder and lead instructor of Spoken Literature Art Movement (S.L.A.M.).
Alyesha regularly facilitates poetry programming and visits classrooms, detention centers and other facilities to teach workshops or perform. In addition to poetry, Alyesha has taught workshops and classes in etiquette, life skills and public speaking.
